Attend First Steps
New to Eastview or ready to take that next step? Have Questions? Wondering how to become a part of Eastview? You’re invited to a 4-session small group experience called First Steps: 4 Simple Steps to begin your journey at Eastview. We encourage you to attend all 4 classes in a row. But, if you can’t or miss a step, just make up the missing step as your schedule permits.
4 SIMPLE STEPS
STEP 1 "FEARLESS CHURCH"
What do we mean when we say "Fearless Church?" Step 1 teaches you about why we gather together as a corporate church on Sunday mornings and in small group settings throughout the week.
Sign up for Step 1 on our Event page.
STEP 2 "CHRIST FOLLOWER"
"What do we mean when we say "Christ Followers?" Step 2 teaches you about the importance of growing in your faith. Whether you are exploring your faith for the first time or you grew up knowing Jesus your entire life, there is always a next step in your spiritual growth journey.
STEP 3 "RIDICULOUS LOVE"
"What do we mean when we say "Ridiculous Love?" Step 3 explores what it means to show Ridiculous Love through your time, money and resources. You will have the opportunity to take a “Voluntour” to see a behind the scenes look at serving at Eastview.
STEP 4 "DANGEROUS WITNESS"
"What do we mean when we say "Dangerous Witness?" Step 4 teaches about the spiritual growth concepts of being a Dangerous Witness. We believe we are a part of something bigger than ourselves. The story begins and ends with God. We serve a God that is actively involved in reaching out and redeeming our world.
At Eastview, membership is extended to anyone who is a member of Christ's Church. What we mean by this is, anyone who is a member at ECC has accepted God's salvation gift in Christ by faith, completed First Steps, been baptized by immersion and are actively involved in the life of the church.
At Eastview, we believe that baptism is an outward expression of an inward reality of Christ's work in our lives. With baptism by immersion, we believe it is a beautiful picture of the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ. We simply seek to follow this expression of faith, as we understand it, in the New Testament. For more information and teaching about baptism, please attend Step 1 of First Steps or watch for one of our quarterly baptism classes we offer.
