It is Christmas week…

I seldom think much about kings and kingdoms, but Matthew did. 
Matthew tells us Jesus is a king on the run. What does that mean?

It means that Jesus is a king on the run with powerful enemies. 
  • “Herod”
  • “search”
  • “destroy”
  • Revelation 12!
  • Am I living as an enemy of this King?
It means that Jesus is a king on the run with faithful protectors. 
  • “an angel of the Lord”
  • “a dream” 
  • “Egypt”
  • “Joseph” 
  • Am I living as a protector of this King? 
It means that Jesus is a king on the run with glorious implications. 
  • “a child” who will one day rule…
  • “a refugee” who will one day restore…
  • “a son” who will one day save… 
  • Am I prepared for the return of this King?
