FOCUS:
What is the Spirit saying to our community about our plans and the good we could be doing? What is the warning to the rich and the comfort to the poor we see in James 4 and 5?

PRAYER:
Our Father, teach us to live our new lives in Jesus. By your Spirit, make us mature, united, and full of love. As we open your Word, we listen—speak, Lord. Give us courage to live the freedom Christ died and rose to give us, to love others as Jesus loves us.

SCRIPTURES:
James 4:13-5:6
