Building Hope Through Partnership
This past year, Eastview has deepened its partnership with Home Sweet Home Ministries in addressing the unhoused crisis within our community.
Eastview has worked collaboratively alongside Home Sweet Home Ministries, city officials, and other local organizations to advocate for sustainable and dignifying solutions. As part of this commitment, Eastview donated $100,000 to The Bridge Project through the 2024 Christmas Offering, followed by an additional $75,000 given this January from the 2025 Christmas Offering.
The Bridge Shelter Village officially opened in January 2026 and represents a significant milestone for Bloomington, Illinois. This thoughtfully designed community of tiny homes offers warmth, dignity, and a renewed sense of hope for neighbors experiencing homelessness.
As the community’s first non-congregate emergency shelter program, The Bridge provides safety, stability, and dignity through 48 private sleeping cabins and a central community building that offers on-site support services.
The village is staffed 24/7 by a dedicated care team committed to walking alongside residents toward stability and long-term housing.
Reflecting on Eastview’s heart behind this partnership, Lead Pastor Brandon Grant shared in the summer of 2025, “At Eastview, we believe in serving our community in times of need. We are grateful for the opportunity to partner with Home Sweet Home Ministries to provide transitional housing solutions that restore dignity and stability to our unhoused neighbors.”
