Child Advocacy

God has called all of us to care for orphans and vulnerable children. We're not all called to do the same thing, but we can all do something. What can you do? Here are some ways to get involved and make a difference in the lives of vulnerable children.

Child Sponsorships

Impact the life of a child in Haiti, Kenya or India.  We work with global partners on the ground who know these children and love them.  Your monthly donations provide food and an education that would otherwise be unattainable.

The Forgotten Initiative (TFI)

TFI mobilizes and equips the body of Christ to support the foster care community by serving agency workers, foster families, vulnerable adults, and foster children. You have strengths, life experiences, and resources that you can use to help those who are feeling overwhelmed, misunderstood, or forgotten. Contact them at to learn ways that you or your small group can help serve our local foster care community.

Safe Families for Children (SFFC)

Safe Families for Children is a faith movement fueled by compassion to keep children safe and families intact.  The Safe Families volunteer church network of Host Families, Family Friends, and Family Coaches provide support to these families in crisis while they get back on their feet. This can include bringing a meal, providing resources, hosting a child, or mentoring a parent in crisis. To learn more about the different ways you can get involved in Safe Families and help local families in need, contact Irene at

Foster Care

With nearly 1800 children in Illinois currently in foster care, the need for loving Christian homes is great. These precious children come into care through no fault of their own. By stepping out in faith, you can make a big impact on your community and in the life of a child. To learn more or to talk to a foster parent about the difference you can make, contact Pam at
