This sermon series will focus on the life of Peter, one of Jesus’ inner circle, nicknamed “the Rock”, and the first to make the “good confession.” And yet, like all Christ followers, past and present; Peter had some epic failures recorded for us in the gospel of Mark. This series will teach us how we often fail in the same ways and encourage us for coming back from these failings. “Failing Fearlessly” captures the essence of Peter’s life and ours. Failing fearlessly means we don’t need to be afraid to admit and own our failures because Jesus has taken them from us. But it also means, we can fearlessly return to following him because he gives us countless do-overs and uses our failures to grow. This series will identify six common failings in the Christ following life but is not intended to make us feel like failures. Instead, each week will give us hope for maturing as we follow Christ fearlessly forward as Peter did all these years ago.
